Second day of work: At a diff outlet

HULLO EVERYBODY.

Well today's my second day of work and there's like only one word to describe it. BORING.

This face says it all.

Well, work started at 6 and the first thing I do when I reach is to... STOCK UP. Ugh the fridge at clementi is considered high compared to this one at JP. I'm like some big giant trying to bend to my lowest and try to stock up the tauhueys in the fridge. WHY ISIT SO DAMN SHORT REALLY?!!!!!
My legs were so sore and painful...

Then I was asked to let people try the tauhueys. I had to carry a tray and approach every single table in MOF to promote it while they were eating. I mean thank god Singaporeans love freebies. Right? So it emptied out quite fast. Surprisingly I didn't feel scared to do that. Immediately when I came back, I was sent out of the shop to give flyers.

No joke man. It was countless and I had to give it like almost infront of this shop called Malaysia Boleh! that newly opened. AND IT'S DIRECTLY OPPOSITE MOF.
(btw amasoy is a franchise of MOF)
So it was just stealing the limelight of tonight. They were selling all kinds of small treats and obviously, everyone would be attracted to a shop with like super bright lights and queues. Yes queues. When a typical singaporean sees a queue, they would wanna join right? I mean, it gives the impression that the food is good. Problem is, I WANNA JOIN IN TOO!!!

I wanna try what they are trying too. I felt kinda sian when people kept rejecting em' flyers. Oh just take it and throw it away I don't care. But there were some people who were nice too and I'm really grateful to them for taking the flyers. Tonight I must've said like a thousand times "Wanna try organic beancurd, buy 3 get 1 free"
And really, Sgreans cannot be any lazier. They saw the flyer and asked, "where is this?" And I pointed towards the opposite direction and they were like oh don't want, too far.
LIKE WHAT?!!!!!!!!!! So freaking ass LAZY.

I moved slightly away from that crowded eatery and infront of this apparel shop and they started playing 2NE1's I love you. Omg I kept singing along to the song that I almost said the lyrics while giving out the flyers. It started playing Whistle too and then..... BIG BANG SONGS. By that time I was about to finish already so I gave much slower than before just so I could stay outside to listen to em'.
And then... HARU HARU PLAYED. OMGGGG I was really so happy cuz it made me feel a whole lot better. But by then I had like countable number of flyers already so I stopped and gave out super slowly. At least I lasted halfway through the song!!! But I was really sad to leave.

I forgot to add that I was so bored, I wanted to go pierce my tragus in the shope but sadly it didn't offer ear piercing services. Oh well.

Moment I came back I had to give free samples again. Business sucks there. I couldn't rmb who I gave before and was all messed up so I just gave to those unfamiliar faces. But for the 4 hours I was working, I only stayed in the shop for about an hour? The whole time the auntie working with me kept sending me away.. I ended up giving flyers twice. I was so desperate to finish giving I gave to the guards there too. At least during the second round, the apparel shop started playing Marron 5 songs. HELL YEAH! I was really bored to death, and started feeling lazy to approach people too.

Ugh anyway the closing was just counting the stocks, adding up the total amount earned, and cleaning up all the cups etc.
Well, work wasn't fun today but I'm glad it's over!

Happy face yay. Can't wait for tomorrow, sunday and monday!
BBYONG!

First day of work

HI EVERYBODY.

Yes from the title you can see that I've.... STARTED WORKING! YAY YIPEE YAY. But curious to know where I work at huh?.... Well it's not anything big or so but I'm employed at Amasoy at clementi! Do come and buy tauhuey ok? It's all organic, currently under promotion BUY 3 GET 1 FREE, BUY 5 GET TWO FREE. LOL.

It's really quite cool cuz I went for the interview yesterday night at like 9.15 and this morning I got a text telling me to start work cuz another colleague was on mc.. And I had to forgo going to ecp with the girls :(((((((
Oh well, I have to work if not I'll be nagged at everyday for being lazy and all. Thank God for the job. But you may think like, oh tauhuey only... like no big deal uh. But it's quite a big deal for me cuz it's my first job!

I went over at 1 today and there's only Janet, my fellow colleague, (feels weird to use the word colleague instead of classmate) who's there settling everything. And there's this crowd of customers omg. I haven't even learn the ropes of managing anything and the first thing I do is to stock up everything that the supplier sent. Don't sorry it's all handmade in the factory everyday! So I stacked and stacked and stacked. Oh my poor legs... Why am I so tall, all the squatting and bending down made my legs numb easily.

So after the crowd dispersed, she taught me more stuffs. The scariest yet exciting part of today was when she had to go get her lunch and I was left alone in the shop! I wasn't taught how to operate the cash register yet so she gave me a notepad to note down orders. And without the register, I had to do mental sums to give change. Ah thank god simple math is still fine for my brain. A maid came to buy while I was alone and she was so nice, she chatted with me and offered to pack her own tauhuey cuz she saw that I was alone and I had other orders.

But before Janet came back, someone order 28 tauhueys! WOAHHH. And there were others behind her, I almost wished I was an octopus because 2 hands wasn't enough. But Janet came back just in time phewwwww. And then I was asked to promote by giving out flyers. Now I know the feeling of  being rejected.. Oh well. But I didn't feel demoralised when people walked away after being approached though. Now whenever I see people giving out flyers, I'll definitely take. That job is definitely not easy.

While working, the most satisfied part is when there's really huge orders! Someone ordered 77 tauhueys today and I was like woahhhh. The shiok feeling when all the $$$$ comes in WOOHOO~ So we packed and left it aside for it to be collected at a later time. Wait! The best has yet to come... I finally got to try using the cash register!!! Although it isn't like the ntuc one which I really wanna try pressing those buttons really fast, this one works for me too :)

But sometimes it get really confusing, like press which button when they give how much, and whatsoever. Even though it was only 4 hours of work today, I kinda enjoyed the experience even though standing for 4 hours was really quite draining.
I'm looking forward to the rest of my working days ahead! COME AND SUPPORT OK?

Lots of love, me.

Back

Sorry for neglecting this little space here. I'm still surprised that people still frequent here, thanks to whoever you are! Well if you guys have been stalking me or my twitter, you would've known that I'm waiting to go poly next year and life has been quite smooth ever since I stopped schooling.

Well, if there's anyone who needs advice if you should go jc/poly maybe I could be of some help from my experience? Anyway, I must say aside from my friends in jc, it was so hard for me. Before entering jc, I told myself, I must do well. Everyday come back, revise, do tutorials on time. WHAT BULLCRAP AND WHO AM I KIDDING.

I am not suited for this kinda lifestyle. I cannot bring myself to study almost everyday. I don't even have good foundations to begin with. But at least I tried. Not promos. But at least I tried to make myself believe I could actually gain something and hold onto what I had in there. But NAH. I know myself best. This is not for me. I succumb to stress to easily. It's not easy. Surviving in jc. Friends are super impt. SUPER DUPER WUPER RUPER IMPORTANT. They are the ones going through every single shit with you. I am so blessed to be in a clique that helps each other, complement each other in weaknesses and strengths. But sorry babes, I left halfway :(

Someone told me. No matter how hard poly life may feel in the future, do not look back and compare to jc life because it's really two different things. Now a second chance has been given to me, I must seize it. But truth to be told, I'm scared of what the future may bring. I'm not even decisive of the courses I'm sure I wanna be in next year. I know I've got time to think now but sometimes the insecurities within me just eats me up.

But ah, thank god for all my supportive friends and family members. Honestly, when I was still studying earlier this year, I swear life has hard. Quarrels after quarrels after quarrels. Especially within the family. I didn't wanna tell anyone about all the thoughts in my head cuz it would just add onto their burden. I just ranted on twitter, hoping for some attention. (Every human being craves for somebody to love & care for them) but that's all on-the-surface thing.

I really felt so wronged about everything. And I know I should've relied on god more and yet I felt like I was being ignored by him and problems kept arising. But then it took a really huge turn. At first I felt that 2012 was the worst year I ever had so far but not anymore! My life has taken such a huge turn that now I feel I'm so blessed indeed. I have never felt like this in a long time. My parents are giving me more freedom (although still kinda strict sometimes) and I am able to spend more time with my grandparents and aunt.

My aunt. I used to say such nasty and mean things to her, even made her cry, and yet, she is able to forgive and forget so easily. I am so thankful for her, she's like my second mum :') oh god I'm getting all emotional...

KKKKKKKK I must have bored you guys out. But all I wanna say is that I am so grateful for everything that has happened in my life so far. The worst part of the year has passed and I'm never looking back again. I wanna look ahead into the future. I wanna be strong and grab opportunities that come knocking on my door. Yes, I can do it!

Since I've been blessed so much, I shall list down afew things that I'm grateful for:
